LACONIA — Site plan reviews for Bike Week 2004
begin this week and the Planning Department is
encouraging all applicants to file as soon as possible
to avoid "an overload of applications" in April.
Any property owner in Laconia who is considering
any temporary use of their property during Bike Week
2004, scheduled to take place June 12-20, is
encouraged to contact the Planning Department at
527-1264 to find out if temporary site plan approval
is required.
The municipal Motorcycle Technical Review Committee
reviews and approves the site plan applications.
The committee is due to hold its first meeting on
Thursday.
The deadline for submission of applications for the
Feb. 5 meeting is Jan. 19; the deadline for the March
4 meeting is Feb. 16; the deadline for the April 1
meeting is March 16; and the deadline for the April 29
meeting is April 12.
All completed applications, plans and fees must be
received by the Laconia Panning Department, 45 Beacon
Street East, by the above deadlines. Any applications
filed after the stated deadline will be deferred to
the following meeting. Incomplete applications will be
returned.
Committee meetings are scheduled to take place at
1:30 p.m. in Room 200A at City Hall.
The Planning Department has said it must adhere to
the deadline and meeting schedule to ensure all
applications are reviewed thoroughly and to give
applicants the opportunity to meet any conditions set
by the committee.
Additionally, any vendor who plans to participate
in Bike Week must have proof that the property owner
has received approval by the committee before their
vendor application will be considered for licensing.
Vendor licensing questions should be directed to
Kerri Parker in the Tax Collector’s Office at
528-6331.
