Timberman training updates:

By Tom Dawson

Another week down. I had a great week of training. The only disappointing part is that I still don't have my bike.

Tom Dawson

The best part of the week came Saturday. I met SuperT622 at Lake Waukewan at 6:30 a.m. and we swam from the boat launch area over towards Pollard Shores and then back.

Once out of the water, we biked into Center Harbor and back. We then finished with a run out to Meredith Neck road and back.

And oh yes, watch out Timberman competitors, we did bump into Timber Rookie Rebecca Dixon training on her bike. Keep up the good work Becky!

The training that I did Saturday was not what was on my training program that Keith made up for me, but I just wanted to see where I was at this point in my training. Now Keith warned us about over training the first week he met with us and he is probably reading this article thinking "there he is doing what I warned him not to do."

No worries Keith, it was just a one time deal!

I got my training schedule for weeks 5 thru 8 today. The minutes in all three categories keep getting bumped up each week. This training is addicting!

I would like to thank those of you who have stopped and introduced yourselves and offered words of encouragement. I would also like to thank my family and friends for their continued support.

God bless.
