Well the time is really flying by now. 15
days and counting. I have started the taper
and recovery period of my training.

I had another great swim session on Monday
with Keith and the crew. The conditions were
the roughest yet. I think that swimming in
similar conditions last week really helped my
swim this week, as I turned in my best time
yet. You just have to keep plugging away.
Although Mondays are sort of an easy day, I
figured I'd bike the course since I was
already there.
I still think that the bike is where I need
work. Each time I ride the course or just do a
ride, I learn something new and improve. I met
Jim at the course on Thursday afternoon and
tackled the bike and run courses, once again
improving on my times. I have definitely been
able to develop a plan of attack for raceday.
Friday I was able to make my way back over to
Greenes Basin and work on some swimming
drills. What a difference having good
equipment makes. After going through three
pairs of swim goggles during my training, I
finally purchased a seal mask. It was nice not
having the mask fill up with water like the
goggles. Thank you to Final Kick Sports for
the mask.
The schedule I have been keeping through
The World Tour caught up with me Saturday and
I was not able to get my bike in. I can't feel
bad about it though since I did bike on
Monday. Looking forward to a good run this
morning. I have my massage scheduled for the
11th with Arvidson Chiropractic, can't wait!
See ya next week. God bless.
